After watching all games in this rugby championship, it is clear to see we could expect nothing different.

SA rugby is 10 to 15 years behind NZL again and you only need to watch NZL school teams to know what I am talking about. Yes, we had flashes of brilliance in 2007 and 2009 but the minute we "worked" the AB's out, they returned the favour the very next year!

We all have been disillusioned by this Bok team. I had a strong feeling that the Boks would put it to the AB's on the weekend and how wrong we were. The AB's know they only need to weather the storm in the first 60 from the Bok pack and make sure they still in the game because in the last 20, they take it away from us. We are throwing the kitchen sink at them until we are out on our feet and they are just biding time (hence the massive possession stats our way) because they know our attack in the back division is lacking. Contain our forwards, make us think we have space out wide and when we swing the ball, its easy pickings for them because we have no idea and run each other out of space. We can not compare ourselves to them at the moment.

Sure, we might win the odd game against them but even when we do win, its a kick fest and just a bruising game that we get lucky.

If Australia had our players, they would be by far the best team in the world. NZ would fear them then because then they would have a monster pack to contain with backs that have proper coaching with the pace and skill to boot. Eddie Jones was instilling this in us and they got rid of him. In 2009, those 3 victories over NZ was the after effects of Eddie just before personnel was changed in the players and we were back to square 1. Not 1 back of ours runs the lines Jaque Fourie did, Jean De Villiers was exceptional, big Steyn (before he became over weight) hitting the line from the back and two exceptional attacking wings in Habana and JP and the best half back in the world in Fourie Du Preez. That coupled with our forwards with me like Bismarck, John Smit, Botha and Matfield and Schalk and Juan Smith in the loosies was incredible. We were no longer 1 dimensional.

We need our school boys to be coached on the running game. A new rule must be brought in that in school boy rugby in SA, you kick only in your 22. If you kick in general play outside 22, its treated as a knock on. Get these players learning to run good lines. People will say im mad as an up and under is a great attacking kick but right now, we know our boys can kick up and unders and that is a 50/50 ball anyway so that will never change. They need to get used to creating space and beating defenders with ball in hand. They will be the next generation of Super rugby and currie cup players and Bok rugby will start becoming the force we once were. If we cant do that, we will never be better than AB's. We will always be hanging on to the hope of "upsetting" them every now and again. Our record in the past 20 years proves we are not on the right track!

I think it was Einstein who said, "The definition of insanity is to keep doing the same thing over and over again whilst expecting different results!" That sums us up boys.

Heyneke Meyer is a good coach but we should never have seen the back of Jake White and Eddie Jones. Any team in this world, including AB's, would love them two as a coaching pair.

Hansen has inherited a team and I dont think he brings out the best in them. They are out and out the best team in the world at the moment and they have not had any injury troubles to speak of yet they were within a try of losing to a boring, crap Aus display in the first game and were far less than desirable against the Boks in Dunedin. They will break this record and be the best team in the world but things could have been very different. They are the best by default really...

You were showing some form of intelligence but for 3 comments

1. No NZ would never want Eddie Jones or Jake Whte as both had averge records against the AB's
2. Hansen has delibrately and openly stated that he wants to up the ante in speeding up the game even more thn what GH had the AB's at, so he is stamping his style from day one on this team hence their inconsistentcies thus far. But for the injuries to the Boks HM would of inherited a good portion of the 2001 team
3. The reason we dont have injury problems is because we are fitter, faster and have better programmes and finally we give our senior players sabbaticals before they fall into a heap

Oh and by the way we are the best because we play the best rugby PERIOD!!!

Didnt Dan Carter, Cruden and Slade battle thru the wc? Didnt Dan Carter just recently come back from injury again? Didnt McCaw miss half of super rugby with injuries along with Kieran Read. Didnt Conrad Smith just return a few games ago. Doesnt Toeava hardly play the game anymore coz of injuries.

I suppose you know first hand that they wouldn't want Jones or White. NZL would just never admit it. Hansen will be found out. Let him experience (I wont say half coz that nasty) just a quarter of the injuries the boks have and that AB team is tickets. He has inherited a team that has played together so long, they can run on auto-pilot. That wont last till next wc so good luck girls...

Jones was bought in too close to the WC so he never really had a go at the AB's but 2009 was a result of what he brought to the table. 2010 we changed things up and were back at square one. Jones, an Aussie himself, said with the right coaching and structures in place, SA would be in a league of their own. I guess what he was trying to say is keep going to church and praying that politics ruin SA rugby NZL because take that away and you boys are in for kak.

 BOK you have no logic....at all. A supporter of a team who's struggling I'd keep quite at least till your team is ranked IRB number 1 for more than a few months. Definition of struggling has been changed in the dictionary. Struggling now reads "The art of taking a pack of "babies" to Dunedin and dominating the old kiwi pack to a degree where missed kicks saved them from a right thumping!"

Its a long drop from the top boys..It may take years but when we get it right, 7's will have to become your national sport because it certainly wont be the 15 man code.

No matter what you say, the fact that we are comparing this injury ravaged bok outfit to the AB's of now is a huge feather in our cap. We are excited about the NZ performances this year because if that is the best you got, SA is in a great space! Our pack will only get stronger..Yours wont...Your backs will only get slower, ours wont...We still gota introduce Jordaan, serfontein and all the rest.  Here's a statistic that sums up the difference between the 2 teams. South Africa would have to win an incredible 220 test matches in a row to catch up to the All Blacks test winning %.  This still wouldn't be enough as ours is still increasing. 

Wel said Boklogic but these chest beating kiwi bird brains are immune to logic. What they will not acknowledge even as sporting Saffas congratulate them on their win is that the Boks were very much the better side in Dunedin. No accepting that even though Rugby Union made the same pointsa as I and others have made. If one looks at the 160 minutes played in fact only the second half at Soweto belonged to the abs!!!!

The abs were comprehensilvely outplayed in both halves at Dunedin and in the first half at Soweto.

However any hope of getting any sense out of the kiwis is a forlorn. Look at he scoreboard they bleat. Well anyone who has ever played any serious sport - not tiddlywinks nz oaks - will know the scoreboard can err in giving you an appreciation of who was playing better and can exaggerate wins etc.

What also the kiwi bird brains dont appreciate- their "brains" being very negatively  effected by their high pitched chirping that has reached a creschendo, is that this is  an extremly new Bok team. Correct me if i am wrong but only Beast, Jannie, Jean and Habana remain from the starting wc side!!!!  Yet dispite that they had the better of 3 of the 4 halves played.

The Boks in this test period have been inconsistent. They played some good and poor rugby against England. They played well at home against the Pumas. They were poor in Argentina. Their first half against Oz in Oz was good the second half was poor. They dominated both halves against nz in Dunedin. They dominated both halves against Oz (who beat the Argies in Argentian subsequent to the Soweto match). They played a good first half at Soweto and went off in the second half.

Now we know there are things to sort out. We have a new side and coach and are 5 years on average younger than the abs. Next year that age gap could widen even further when jean is replaced and Coenie takes the tighthead position etc etc.

At the moment we are paying our dues. So to the saffas I would say dont get too fed up with the kiwi bird brains. Their days are numbered. They know it and we know it.  Take it on the chin. Their very arrogant belief that they will reign forever will be shown to be a foolish delusion. Pride cometh before a fall and great will be the fall and consequent meriment when it happens as it surely will. There is nothing the kiwis do that we cant do. Nothing at all. Only qualification I have here is political interference tha  has shot us in the foot. Oh that Jake had continued and kicked on. We had a good team after that World Cup and great talent coming through. Doubtless we would have ruled the abs during the last 4 years. Meyer would even now not be in the situation of having to completely rebuild a side from virtually scratch.

My big hope also is that players in the Bok squad are manged properly in terms of game time.  That too will makea big difference.

All balck and blue the important stat is tha tpriorto isolation we ha dthe better of the abs in terms of tests won. This was over  aperiod of some 70 years or so competition.

Since our return we have sruggled to get it right and hav ealso been hindered by political interference.

Yes you did but more tests were played in South Africa than New Zealand with home refs, and we didnt pick Maori's in our touring teams to South Africa.  Even with those advantages we were not far behind.  You will find our overall % was still higher just not head to head pre isolation.

 Beeno, I must admit I do find it hilarious how personal the kiwi's get and how they make 1 statement and all of a sudden something has been owned! What does it mean to be owned?
