The Best All Black Team Ever?
October 06, 2012, 21:29:52

Their has been some good All Blacks teams like when Sean Fitzpatrick was captain, with Jeff Wilson, Christian Cullen, Lomu etc.

The ease with which the All Blacks scored tries tonight reminded me of the great Sean Fitzpatrick team.

Although this current team is going to break the world record for most consecutive wins by any rugby team ever, so by results it is the best ever rugby team. Is allready 17. And with 4 or 5 test remaining this year it is unlikely they will be beaten this year. Next year the only teams with any realistic chance of beating the All Blacks is Australia or South Africa(both at full strengh and 100% on top of their game).

It was a great game by the All Blacks but I was not impressed with the defence of the Springbok backline. The centres especially Jaco Taute looked way off the mark on positional play. Also not kicking the ball out with kicks from deep in our own 22 is playing right into the hands of the All Black counter attacks. Jaco Taute made a really stupid kick in this example where the All Blacks scored from. I would rather have had Dejong at outside center as he is a specialist center, not a makeshift fullback at center. Jaco Taute was sometimes in amongst the forwards with the pick and carries. I still dont rate Kirchner and he seemed to be nowhere on defence except when Rico gear stepped inside because Kirchner had to cover the outside wing.

When Jantjies came on, he did not gel well Jean Devilliers at all. Pity about Goosen hopefully the injury is not bad.
