.......is about as dangerous as a pet poodle....one of Dave's youngsters if I'm not mistaken .  And du Plessis is another gutless wonder.

moz

he's been in the top ten ODI bowlers for 2 years...

I rekon the rest of the worlds top batsmen would disagree with you.

Ya, he hasnt picked up that many wickets in this series, but dont judge him on 3 ODI's... rate him on his over all performances...

He barely goes for over 4.5 runs per over...

As foe du Plessis.... they are moulding him into a fantastic number 6 finisher in ODI's.

Be patient... our test side is only now complete...

Our ODI side will get there too, under the guise of G Kirsten..

One thing Im not convinced about is AB being captain, being keeper and being our number 4 batsman.

He need to give up the gloves or the keeping...

Id like to see Q de Kock take up the keeping reigns soon! He looks magic!

 Hey Flash too true.

Quentin is the man for the future i think, if AB is going to be Captain don't let him keep.

Guys its very simple really. We are chanllenging for the number 1 spot but where is Kallis and Verlander?

Another blunder by the brains trust?

No beeno i don't think it is a Blunder. The brains trust are not guning for the Nr 1 spot, we are. They have other milestones, as AB has Made clear.

1.They need to build a new young team.

2. Kallis will not always be there, and we need to learn to get along without him and find a combination to replace him when he decides to retire, so we are not surprised. as well as blood that combo as we need to replace him with 2 players. :)

3. Philander should not play in any one day onternational Cricket. He should remain only in the test Arena to maintain that line and length we require. Throwing him into the shorter formats will ruin the test team. tsotsobe is not the Nr1 ODI bowler in the world for nothing. He desrves it and should retain that spot. Problem is our team is not performing as we want, we however need to have a little Patience to let them get to where we want them as that is their goal.

The ODI team is not ready to challenge for the Nr 1 spot yet there are some kinks to sort out first.

Any side not wishing to be number 1 needs to firstly to get their minds right!

Secondly, once that is done  -getting your mind right that is , you pick your best players.

Follow Beeno's recipe and the result would be success.  This steam is not our best and we could have lost the chance we had to be number 1.

A blunder without question.

"Any side not wishing to be number 1 needs to firstly to get their minds right!"

Correct - but you need to work to get there, This young team of ours will not all of a sudden take the Crown from a team that has lost only one ODI sop far this year. You don't come out of school and just wish to be Nr1 and become Nr 1 there is a lot of work involved. As they said we firt need the tesm right we will get there, eventually but not now.

You need to plan for the Future, if you want to be number one and stay number one. No use building a house without foundations, Your walls will tumble once the first strong wind somes along.

Faf had a bad series in England now, but over the last year he has been one of our most consistent batsmen. Never really in the big runs but always in the runs. And his strike rate is second to none if you want to pace up your run rate. he is a very good middle order batsman i won't leave him out even though he did have a bad ODI series now. First one in months. Let's see if he gets gametime in the T20's.

Levi should get a start and won't hit big runs off the start necceserily but he will hit them fast and that is why he is there. Faf a few places down the order to keep the run rate up will not be a bad thing.

I'll say this Ek. Faff  was very fast to get to his three runs in three at bats.....high run rate, few runs. He wouldn't make my team.

Ai Moz... again I reitterate. The last year. I again state he had a bad England series. But go look back a bit more. I am sure your short term memory is not the predominant one.
