I think we've all...

seen enough to suggest that Jordaan has enough potential to be a Bok centre and is the best centre in the country not in the Bok squad. That Hougaard is better at wing than at half back and that Pienaar is a better half back than Hougaard. Marcel Coetzee is a competitor and has made the step up to international level.

Elzebeth is work in progress and has the makings of a world class lock. Jano Vermaak is not the next best scrummie in the country and Mvovo has yet to be tested at international level.

 Sasu

Let me give you something to think about in future - probably already next year.   Goosen and Jordaan are  going to be the main headaches for New Zealand Rugby.   Jordaan is now playing CC rugby and is the best center in that position by the proverbial mile.    He is going to push for selection for the end of year tour.

@clevermike,

still too soon for IRC, but going on the EOYT is perfect, i have no doubt that goosen will be there, but will be interesting to see how jordaan fares. not a question of talent, cos i know hes got plenty, just wondering if they will go that way.
IMO, Boks are a poor travelling team, i will never understand how a team like them can loose to the likes of scotland and england and the one thing about meyer is he wants to buil for the future, but not at the expense of losing ANY mtaches. still u never know.

im very worried about goosen TBH, i think hes got some serious skills and the best 10 prospect ive ever seen from SA and since u mentioned jordaan, ive been keeping an eye on him and he hasnt failed to impress.
the one thing i will say about jordaan is he is one short dude, 5ft 11 is way too short IMO, especially if SBW returns in 2014.
but the All Blacks have time and time proven they have all the right medication for the different ailments over the years, for goosen we got cruden and for jordaan, ben smith, fruean will more then have his number by then and of course IMO the return of SBW in 2014.

all in all im very excited about the IRC for the next few years. good luck to the future of both our teams.

Sasu

Read with interest - but is Jordaan too small?   He weighs 96 kgs of muscle and he did play in the Chiefs game opposite SBW - who did not break any tackles of this guy.   Not much shorter than Carter is he?

@clevermike,

ur right he is the same hieght as carter, but carte is a flyhalf and jordaan is center. for me i have a preference of having 6ft 2in plus backs in my midfield with good distribution skills, it lets them take the bigger hits on defence and attack, but thats just my prefernce. if they dont have the height advantage then they need to be more sharp in other area and i guess this is the catgory that jordaan falls into.

and i remember watching jordaan with much interest during the chiefs game after u told me to keep an eye out on him and i do remeber him missing at least three tackles during that match??? with no rugby this weekend, i will watch the final again inbetween the ITM games and let u know my findings.

dont get me wrong though, i do rate him, but i will be interested to see if the Bok coaches fudge up his career like they have done so many other good Bok players, like doppies la grange, one of my favourite saffa players and the most underrated player i have ever seen, doppies was someone who the Boks completely scerwed up big time, not the first time and not the last either.
