 Hi all,

Can anyone clarify whether Victor Matfield will be allowed to play for the Springboks in this upcoming test series or not? Last I heard Meyer was going to include him and now I heard that due to a technical point he won’t be allowed to play?

Thankfully Rod blue bulle coach Meyer will not be allowed to play victor as one cannot play for 6 months after  retiring.

As for him being big well he only weighs 107 kg by his own admission. This makes him about the smallest lock to have played international rugby for  adecent side in modern times and explains why he lived in the backline. It also explains why his props could toss him up quickly into the air.

Now in some eyes all this all made him the greatest lock ever. A source of endless amusement to me!! They are also dazzeled by his briliance in being able t omake a call between 4, 5 and 8 re the lineouts. Hahahahahahahahahaha

No we can all breath a sigh of relief that he is gone for good. I do trust you are not a matfield groupie?

Hope our provincial star Terance isn't around to object to my completely justified criticisms!

Thanks for the reply. Everybody is entitled to the own opinion, however good or bad it might be...

I have no problem with the man and reconiges his achievements. It not a question of being a "groupie" or not.

Rod, ignore Beenkop when it comes to Matfield, he is the only clown on planet earth who did not rate one of the best locks to have ever played the game. And for the record he weighed about 115kg's by the time he retired.

I dont want to see him play for the Boks again as he is past it, but in his day he had no peers

I think sapster is the only clown on the planet who still thinks victor was 115 kg. I mean even victor himself (as well as the bulle website plus the SA rugby.net - offical home of the springboks had himat 107/8 kg) when asked the question gave his weight at 107 kg. Apparently now he is down to his natural weight of around 102 kg.

Sapster has never lived this one down! Bwahahahahhahahahahaha

Always remember the immortal words of the real Bok lock Bakkies (the man who did the work of two) - "victor doesn't always play in the backline" Hahahahahhahahahahaha To say he had no peers as a backline players is ludicrous - he was poor there and often messed up moves.

Case closed sapster.  Its all a big bubble in that lonely braincell.

Rod, glad to hear others are entittled to their opinions even if they are wrong like sapters! Hehehhehehe

Beenkop, if only you were bright enough to work out that your pathetic take on Victor discredits anything you ever say when it comes to rugby. Do posters on here ever agree with you?

I have provided stats of Victor weighing 115kg's in his prime, we all know many sites are out of date when it comes to stats, but more importantly, one only needed to look at Victor to realise that he weighed more than 107kg's for only a fool would conclude that Frans Steyn weighs more than Victor or that JP, Fourie and Jean only weigh about 2 or 3kg's less than Victor. Do you seriously believe this, much like the rubbish that Victor answered on his own weight or that Bakkies would have anything negative to say about his partner over so many years - the best lock partnership to ever play the game.

But Beenkop you keep providing us with that comic element on here - its your calling, made more funny by virtue of the fact that you are actually serious!!

And the drama continues between Beeno and Saffex. LOL I am gonna side with Beeno here though, I reckon Matfield was overrated. He was the master of the line-out, I'll give him that, but he was lazy and often camped in the backline.

Thanks bluebok the truth must out. Crash goes ou sapsters propostion. This despite others on this very board agreeing with this my view.

I have never in all these years seen a South African website giving matfield at 115 kg. The fact is the bulle home website listed him at 108 and so did the Bok website - surely they should know.  Victor himself said he was 107 kg.  Ou sapster doesn't even believe victor himself!  Bwahahahahahahaha what a dope!!!

Face it sapster you are ina very tight corner  - Juandre in your opinion is too light for a lock but victor at 107 kg isn't. Only solution dispute victors weight - deny, deny and deny.

Best front up sapster and admit you messed up - you were fooled by hype  -so great was the hype that a very small lock weightwise became a monster in your eyes, Suck, suck you went and down it all went.

Those planks on the other board will of course parrot your view re matfields ability but they are mostly very dim wits or better still witless oaks. They could well not parrot your view about his weight. Even they are not that dumb surely!!

Hahahahahhahahaha you need to up your game here sapster! Standards are higher etc

There were others here that thought the same. Scroll through all the posts and you will find them.

Also there have been others as well over the years - you cant fool all of the people all of the time. Some can se the emperor without his clothes an dwil lspeak out.

Next time dope do yourself a favour and go to the most appropriate web pages and please, please do believe ou victor about what he says his weight is. He really does know better than you.

Hahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahaha ou sapster in a big dark hole. Front up sapster you fouled up dispite my many warnings. Motto - always heed what Beeno says! Hahahahhahahaha

Beeno, my share of our combined brain capacity is not enough, please loan me some of your share, because, and I can't be sure, but I think Saffex insulted me? I need more brain capacity to confirm my suspicions, and possibly even retaliate!

sapster you want the evidence you look for it.

This is one case where the majority got it hopelessly wrong. But ability aside - the weight issue is a  matter of fact. You are getting a simple fact wrong. Admit it sapster you were fooled badly. Your hero is a flea weight lock who you know cant perform at that weight.

I would say you are stumped well and truely.

Game set and match. Bwahahahahhaha

Next!

PS last time I have to discuss matters  at this extremely low level was with mongs dorkie dumbo and bedpan!!!  sapster you are going down hill fast.
